- Correction
- Malcolm's next performance?

A Question from the UK

Thanx for the newsletter - i wonder if you know if any english stations
plan to show the last season. I have cable but the last episode I saw was
the season finale with Richard and Caroline going to Spain and back, and
finally getting it together! talk about leaving me up in the air!
If any members can help i would appreciate it,
Thanx,
Natalie.

Syndication - Its a fact!

Just thought I'd pass along this bit of info:

"Caroline in the City" is going into syndication. I
discovered that last evening when I saw a commercial
for it on our local WB station. Here in Portland,
Oregon, it's on Channel 32 at 7:30 Monday-Friday.

You might want to let everyone know about the
syndication of the show and tell fellow fans to watch
their TV listings to see if they can get it in their
area.

Take care.

Pat Kerwin

Most of you have heard at this point that CitC has been sydicated. I would like to try and get information out to everyone whose reads the newsletter about when CitC reruns will be played in their area. TO do this I need a lot of input from everyone. If those of you who know when and on what channel CitC reruns will be played in your hometown please email me (just like to one above, also with your cable provider..that will clear up some problems i see already) so that I can come up with a list for most major areas. Thanks guys!!!

Correction

In a message dated 7/4/99 11:23:26 AM, Meg6212 writes:

<< Malcolm will be in a concert at UCLA's Schoenberg Hall. He will be performing with Susan Egan ("Belle" in the Broadway production of "Beauty and the Beast"). The date is Saturday, April 15, 2000. >>

Meg,
I just want to correct that Susan Egan is now "Sally Bowles" in the Broadway production of Cabaret. Susan was the original "Belle" in the Original Braodway Cast production of Beauty and the Beast in 1996. There has been about 6 different Belles between now and then. Andrea McArdle is the new "Belle" in the Broadway production of Beauty and the Beast. Hope this helps!!!

Malcolm's next performance?

Hi. I spoke with Malcolm on Wednesday afternoon. He is traveling through
the southwest seeing places he hasn't seen and visiting friends. In August
he begins work on a big show in San Francisco. I cannot remember the name
of the show but it's a musical. There is a well known woman playing the
female lead. I cannot remember her name either but she played Kelsey
Grammar's wife on 'Cheers'. I'm sorry that I didn't pay more attention to
these details. I really should because people are asking me all the time.
The way news spreads these days I wouldn't be surprised if you knew all this
already. If you don't I'll be glad to get back to you.

At any rate. I thought you would be interested to hear the news. we'll talk
to you later.

Erik

Sightings Update

Hey,
I just wanted to let everyone know that there has been an update to the Sightings section of the site. Thanks to Carol who sent it in. You can check it out by going to the site at http://www.megsplace.com/mgc
Until next time,

An Email community??

Hi,
Can we have an email community thing like the groups in onelist.com? That
way, we can write to each other and not have to visit the site all the
time. Just an idea.
Bye,
Vidya

Well to answer this question, I have to put forth another. Doesn't this take a person to check the emails before they are sent on to make sure they are appropriate? If anyone has a suggestion about this and can tell me how it works, Meg and I can try to find a way to make it happen.

An interesting letter

Meg got this email recently and wanted to pass it on to all of us:

<<I am writing to ask for your help as Caroline in the City launches this fall in syndication (i.e., those reruns of Seinfeld or Friends you see Monday-Saturday on your local television station - that's syndication) across the country. Eyemark Entertainment, a division of CBS (producer of Caroline in the City) and distributor of the show, is building a comprehensive web site--with much richer content than NBC's Caroline site--to coincide with Caroline's premiere in syndication. The theme of the site is the "Toast of the Town" which we are expanding to "Toast of YOUR Town" with features like Recipe of the Week, Restaurant of the Week, Event/Party and Great Place of the Week. Here's the gist of the concept....

Caroline In The City web site visitors will be encouraged to submit their favorite recipes, restaurants, interesting places, clubs/bars and events/parties - the ones that make them the Toast of Their Town. Examples: Pam is the Toast of West Palm Beach with her Key Lime Pie recipe, Liquid Kitty is the Toast of the LA Martini Bars, the Gas Lamp District is the Toast of the San Diego. Through this, we hope to create a whole web community of Caroline fans.

As I Caroline in the City fan, we hope you will help us build our site by contributing any recipes, restaurants, events, or places and help build excitement for the show. Please e-mail me (amanieye@aol.com) your favorite recipe, restaurant, great place, bar, club or event. We need submissions from all over the US, so submit places, recipes and restaurants from your home town as well as the area you live in now. For the places, restaurants, events, etc, please describe it in as much detail as possible, why it's the Toast of YOUR Town and where it's located. Feel free to submit as many things as you wish and feel free to ask your friends, relatives and neighbors to submit their Toast of the Town favorites!

Thanks for all of your help! Watch for Caroline this fall!!

Then Meg recieved this letter:

Thanks for passing this on to the Malcom Gets Fan Club. I believe the url will be www.carolineinthecity.com. The site is still in the design stages, so nothing is up as of yet. We hope to lanuch at the beginning of September. Please, though, send any sights, events, restaurants, and recipes to help us build our Toast of the Town database. Remember to include a brief description of the place/event, address, phone number, and, if it's an event, a date. You can send any Toast of the Town submissions to me at this address. Thanks again.

Sincerely,
Amani Roland
