Malcolm Gets - A Fan Club
Bi-monthly Newsletter Vol.1.5
(June 3, 1999)
Hey Everyone,
Long time no Newsletter. You will have to excuse me for not getting this one out until
now, but some life altering changes have been occurring in my life...so haven't been able
to get back to this till now. ON to more important information.
Today's Issues:
- What are Malcolm's post-Caroline plans?
- The Cancellation
- How do you feel about the last episode as a season finale?
______________________________________________________
What are Malcolm's post-Caroline plans?
After the last episode was filmed he spent three weeks on the road visiting
family and friends in Florida. He was handling the news of cancellation
well...
He is planning to move back to NYC but does not have firm career plans
yet...He has a few loose end commitments in LA before he packs up...
Update:
Malcolm is now talking about buying a home in CA. I don't know
why but I guess he figured he would have more room in a house than in a NYC
apt.
I would like to thank, again, the person that sent me this information. Though he remains
anonymous he is irreplaceable.

The Cancellation
As most of you know Caroline in the City was not picked up for next season by NBC. This
has, I'm sure caused many of you great stress, however, lets hope that someone else (like
CBS) picks up our favorite (and only) Malcolm sitcom.

Message From Leslie
Hi, it's Leslie. I am not dealing to well with all of
this cancellation thing. I mean,
as far as I can see it is the end for me. As far as seeing him again. He will be in
a lot of plays I guess but I don't live in NY and I don't have a car so going to LA
(which is only an hour and a half away from me) is out too. I don't think he will
be on TV for anything that I can think of. He probably won't do another series or
promote any plays he is doing on any talk shows so........that's what I mean when
I say this is the end of me ever seeing him again, in motion that is. There is always
still pictures I guess but they don't move or talk. Sorry to vent like this but your
letter said I could, so I guess I am. I am VERY unhappy at this point. And I can't
believe that they won't be showing reruns this summer. I have most of the episodes
on tape, except for the first season, but I think NBC is being unfair to this show.
I will still go to Meg's and your site to see what he is up to but it won't be the same
as seeing him every week. Thanks for letting me vent. Take care.
Leslie

How do you feel about the last episode as a season finale?
I thought that the Caroline finale was terrible. I wish that NBC had
given them notice that the show was going to be canceled. It made me
sad that the show was just dropped without any notice to the fans. I
guess it's over and I need to get over it, too bad I'll never make it
to Broadway to see Malcolm perform. That's all I really have to say.
Thanks for listening
Lisa Pruitt

I have placed these two above letters in the post because I hope to get others to say how
they feel about the cancellation and the final episode. Those of you who haven't seen the
final season, in other countries, feel free to put in your two cents about the episodes
you saw. We, in America, always love to reminisce about the shows we have seen.
If you have any questions or comments on anything in this newsletter, feel free to email
me and let me know what you think. I will gladly past it on to the rest of you! My Address
is Miranda988@aol.com or talk to Meg at Meg6212@aol.com.
Thanks for your continued support.
