Before It All Began

Before Marvelous 3, The Floyds, Floyd's Funk Revival, and even before Southgang there were these 3 guys with budding talent and ambition.  They all lived in Georgia and before they came together they were already starting on their path to "fame."  Slug was in a high school band called Oasis with this guy Jimmy Schillesetit (also known as Jesse Harte - lead singer of Southgang in later years )  Before Jayce joined Jesse, Slug, & Butch to make Southgang, they had a bass player named Brian Kirtland and went out to LA under the name Bite the Bullet.  Someone already had this name though, so they later had to change this to Southgang.  They struggled for awhile and then came back to Rome, GA and got Jayce for the bass.  From there the rest is history but in a quick overview:
Southgang put together 2 CDs but then went bankrupt, arriving on the "rock" scene too late since alternative was already becoming popular.  They then relocated to Atlanta, GA and became The Floyds, then Floyd's Funk Revival (after the county Rome, GA was in - Floyd County), and then of course they became the Marvelous 3 that we all know and love. 

Well, that's it in a nutshell (or however that is supposed to go)  There will be more coming soon, but hopefully that sums up their history for you!
